ArtC with Bill Horin premieres on SNJ Today TV March 3rd
Locally produced and focused on the arts in southern New Jersey, ArtC with Bill Horin premieres on SNJ Today TV, Thursday, March 3rd.
ArtC with Bill Horin shines a spotlight on the rich tapestry of the arts and artists living and working in southern New Jersey. It will air every Thursday at 7:30 pm, immediately following SNJ Today nightly news.
“We’re very excited to continue to bring the fascinating stories of the many talented artists and arts professionals in south Jersey to television,” said Bill Horin, program host and executive director of ArtC.
Based in Linwood, Atlantic County, ArtC is a grassroots coalition of arts, communication and media professionals dedicated to promoting the arts in southeastern New Jersey.
Horin began his career as a commercial photographer. He has been one of the area’s most strident arts advocates for decades. Prior to founding ArtC in 2011, he published two magazines dedicated to the arts in southern New Jersey and, more recently, hosted a weekly arts interview program on WOND radio. He is also an active blogger, program developer and has shaped opinions on the arts with both the general public and policymakers.
“Each week, the program will feature the region’s most talented and influential visual and performing artists, leaders in the arts community, plus stories from surrounding areas that impact the arts in southern New Jersey,” Horin said.
In addition to studio interviews, the program will also include arts videos created by the ArtC team, including award-winning filmmaker Frank Weiss – and videos featuring artists and artisans demonstrating technique in their fields.
Future guests and features will include Denis DiBlasio, jazz saxophonist and Rowan University director of jazz studies; Joanie Gagnon San Chirico, Toms River multimedia artist and preservationist; Albert Horner, Medford Lakes nature photographer and conservation advocate; Victor Grasso, Cape May painter; John Thornton, Ocean City art teacher and videographer; Katherine Stanek, West Deptford sculptor; Diane Emerson, Medford ceramist; Mary Cantone, Stone Harbor gallery owner; the Great Goshen Barn Jam; the Vineland Regional Dance Company and many more.
ArtC with Bill Horin will reach 2.8 million viewers throughout southern and central New Jersey, as well as parts of Delaware and Pennsylvania.
