No, I haven't been hibernating

It’s been some time since my last blog, but I certainly haven’t been hibernating. Lots happening. New website and videos for AtlantiCare Foundation’s Healing Arts Program, including one on metal sculptor Jose Chora, are almost done. A new ArtC gallery exhibit at Shore Medical Center in Somers Point will be hung on March 1st. Frank Weiss and I are starting a video on Millville’s Pat Witt next Saturday. This year is the 50th anniversary of her Barn Studio of Art. Possible projects with Atlantic City’s CRDA are in the works. And our Photo SJ 2012 April event at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey is really coming together. You don’t even need to own a camera to appreciate the work of two of the top photographers in the country, top celebrity photographer John Russo and dynamic stock photographer and teacher Seth Resnick.

Also, ArtC is part of two events coming to the Noyes Museum of Art soon. The first is the premiere of the documentary ‘The Road is Coming’ by ArtC’s own Frank Weiss. It was filmed by Frank during a recent trip to to Belize and will be accompanied by twenty of his photos. It takes place February 23rd from 6 -8 pm. To get an idea how good this documentary is, just watch this preview.

The photos on the right are some samples of Frank’s work. The other event at the Noyes involving ArtC will be a presentation by art and travel photographer Holly Horner. Holly will show photos, some samples are below, and relate stories about her November trip to Churchhill, Manitoba, Canada to photograph the endangered polar bears and their environment. Join us March 15th from 6 – 7:30 pm at the Noyes Museum of Art in Oceanville. And as always, thanks for listening.
