The Healing Arts Committee at AtlantiCare is seeking design proposals for a variety of original artwork for its Mainland Transformation & Modernization Project located at AtlantiCare’s Mainland Campus in Pomona, NJ.
The committee is seeking artists who reside in the State of New Jersey or the County of Philadelphia who are interested in providing inspirational, healing and refreshing images in a wide variety of mediums including 2-dimensional original work; oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media art, murals, mosaics, ceramics, fabric art, collages and glass arts. Existing and commissioned artwork will be considered. Art will be placed in the lobby areas, corridors, waiting rooms and other public spaces.
The theme for the building and the art is healing through nature showcasing classic, contemporary design. This can be expressed in a variety of ways such as: architecture, sacred geometry, color, community & family, light movement, nature, line and form, pattern and texture. The committee is open to ideas by artists to express the concept of a natural world that may be related to interfaith, inspiring, and multicultural imagery that is appropriate for a healing environment and follow our overarching theme of healing through nature.
The artwork is being funded by AtlantiCare as part of its commitment to including appropriate regional art in its facilities as a component of creating a healing environment for patients, visitors and staff.
